Yesterday, we called the animal shelter in JB. Uncle Joseph from the animal shelter came in and picked up the two puppies. Phew! That'a a load off my mind.

Mandy came into the house this evening. Her wound was getting worse. It has turned from a small hole into a large wound. The maggots were eating her flesh away. So we called uncle Joseph again.

Mandy in the cage

In the house, we (Uncle Joseph, my brother and myself) kept Mandy surrounded. She was struggling quite a bit and was hiding underneath the sofa. Then, we managed to corner in on her. My brother managed to put a loop round her neck and finally, we got her. Meanwhile, Tommy was howling madly outside as he picked up the fear in Mandy. It was an intense experience, Uncle had to drag Mandy out of the house using a stick to prevent her from biting. Finally, he put her into a cage he had at the back of his truck. All this time, I was praying that Mandy stops sturggling and let us help her but I guess she was too afraid to.

We found out from Uncle Joseph that there are about 300 abandoned and stray dogs at his shelter. Seriously, I don't think it is any of the dogs' fault as they basically act out of instinct.

Now I think twice about getting a pet. There are simply too many people who abandon them when they are not 'cute' anymore or when they become too troublesome.

Anyways, we got directions from to the animal shelter. My brother and I decide to pay the place a visit this Sunday if time permits.

Anyone wants to come along?
Feel free to comment.

Love,
Ms. Yong
